League Updates

1. Registration
If you have not registered your child, please do so ASAP as many of the divisions are full or very close to being full.

2. Team Equipment Bags
Our Equipment Manager will be at the Major diamond clubhouse organizing equipment bags for all the teams tomorrow morning and is looking for volunteers to assist. If you have a couple hours of spare time, please drop in and offer Leanne a hand!

3. Coaches Clinics
Ancaster will be hosting a Coaches clinic on May 1st & 2nd at the Community Centre Diamond #1 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Head Coaches are required to attend one of the two nights. Assistant coaches & interested parents are invited to attend. It is always good to be more informed about the game. These clinics will be instructed by Adam Strongman. There is a $5.00 cost for this clinic.

4. Teams
Most of the teams (T-ball & up) have now been set. You should hear from your coach very soon. (if you haven't already) Blastball Coaches meeting is set for this Sunday. Players will be contacted next week.

5. Season Start
· House League schedules have now been posted on the website.
· The Rep teams (boys & Girls)along with Girls Softball begin play during the week of May 7th.
· T-Ball thru Major begin the season on May 12th.
· Blastball begins on May 14th
· Bantam & Midget will begin the week of May 21st

6. Park Renovations
Mark Strongman is working diligently 3 of our game diamonds. (T-Ball. Minor & CC4) If you have a few hours this weekend or during the week, he can use your help to get these diamonds ready to go. If you can come anytime between 9:00am & 4:00pm there will be plenty to do.

7. Umpire Clinic
Jake Parkhill (LL-UIC) will be hosting an umpire clinic at Lions Club Pool on May 5th from 10:00am - 3:00pm. If you are 12 years old and wish to become an umpire, please contact Jake.

8. Picture Day(s)
Picture day has been set for Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Major diamond. (rain or shine) for all teams except Blastball. It is set for Monday, May 28th.

9. Rookie Ball Convener
The league is actively looking for a Convener of the Rookie Ball division. If you have a couple of hours a month to dedicate to ensuring this division runs smoothly, that would be greatly appreciated.

10. Park Renovations

Minor Tournament Team Workouts

Anyone who is registered in Minor Little League (9 and 10 year old division) in Ancaster is invited to spring workouts for the Minor Tournament team.

The Minor Tournament team will be comprised of 10 to 12 players from Ancaster's House League teams. We will have an opportunity to play against other tournament teams from within our district, as well as other centers across Ontario.

Workouts will be offered on May 11, 12 starting @ 6pm at Major diamond. Additional workouts will be communicated as necessary. Further information regarding level of commitment and scheduling will be provided at the first workout session.

If you are interested in attending these sessions, or are unable to attend but would like further information, please contact Darren Stephenson.

Rookie Ball Full

The Rookie Ball division is now full.

Anyone wishing to register a child in that division will be put on a waiting list. Please fill out a registration form and drop it off at our Registrar's house with your cheque. Ken Aird lives at 136 Amberly Boulevard in Ancaster. Should a spot come open in the division, families will be called in order of registrations received.

Cheques will not be cashed until you are accepted into the division.
