Above- players pose with the food collected during the 2011 Fall Ball Season at Ancaster Little League Park.

On the last Sunday in October the 2011 Ancaster Little League Fall Ball season wrapped up at Little League Park in Ancaster. At times the program had over forty kids participating in the after season program held approximatley two times each week from the start of September until the end of October. Skill development and fun were stressed during the practice sessions and during game time, as players aged eight through twelve played against each other during session. The program was run by Jim Guild and Chris Davies who led the games, the game nights typically ended in fun with a homerun derby. In addition Chris Davies organized a food drive for local food banks, as the players brought in just over 100 pounds of food over the course of the two months.

A special thanks to Chris Davies, Jim Guild, Jeremy Pietron, Bob Pendlebury, Darrin White, Kevin Cruickshanks, Jake Parkhill and Jeff Muir who helped run the program on a nightly basis donating their baseball expertise to the young boys over the last two months.

Ancaster Little League begins their regular houseleague season in May and plays until the middle of August, and has over 550 registered players for baseball or softball ages 4 to 18. Registration for the 2012 season is underway and a registration form are available on the website. Ancaster Little League competes in International Little League World Series every year in July and is a two time Major District 1 Champion, the 2010 Canadian Finalists, and a four time Minor District 1 Champion and 1994 Minor Provincial Champion.
